
To the Mansfield Pediatrics Family
Our office operations have changed EFFECTIVE June 24, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
WELL CHILD VISITS:
- Our office will be open MORNINGS and EARLY AFTERNOONS for well child visits. Children under 5 will only by seen in the AM and children over 13 in the afternoon.
- If the parent or caregiver has had a fever in the previous 72 hours prior to the scheduled well child visit, if they have a fever at the time of arrival to the office, or if through a screening questionnaire they are deemed at high risk for COVID 19, the child’s appointment will be rescheduled.
- ONLY ONE PARENT WITH THE CHILD BEING SEEN IS ALLOWED IN THE OFFICE.
SICK VISITS AND FOLLOW UP VISITS:
- In office SICK VISITS will take place in the LATE AFTERNOONS for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years who have a fever (>100.4 degrees F).
- Newborn and infants < 6 weeks of age with a rectal temperature > 100.4 degrees F need to go to the Emergency Department.
- VIRTUAL VISITS will be provided through Doxy.me (a HIPAA compliant telemedicine site). Please phone our office 817-453-7770 during business hours to set up a VIRTUAL VISIT with one of our providers. The patient must be present for a telemedicine visit.
- We will offer drive up testing for older febrile patients if during a telemedicine visit the provider feels testing is needed.
- If your child has a fever, cough, or trouble breathing AND might have been exposed to Coronavirus (COVID-19), call our office to set up a TELEMEDICINE, as we have testing available for COVID-19.
What are WE doing:
- We have rooms designated as well rooms and rooms designated as sick rooms.
- We have modified our waiting area for social distancing and we are making every effort to room patients on arrival to the office or you are being ask to wait in your vehicle until a room is available.
- We are using hospital grade disinfectants on all patient areas.
- Common areas, including patient rooms, are continuously being disinfected.
- Staff will continue to wear protective equipment when needed to minimize their exposure.
- Screening all individuals that enter our practice at the door to assess risk to other patients and our Mansfield Pediatrics staff.
What YOU should do:
- STAY AT HOME.
- Stay healthy- get rest, drink lots of water, eat a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, lean proteins and stay physically active
- Wash your hands frequently, cough into your sleeve or elbow, and don’t touch your face!
- Wear a mask when out in public!
- Please refrain from bringing additional guests to your appointments.
