Well-Child Exams

You bring your child to the doctor’s office when they’re sick, but regular well-child exams are important as well. During these visits, your child may receive immunizations to prevent illness, and their growth and development will be measured and discussed. This visit includes social, emotional, and physical components. This is the time for you to raise concerns about behavior, milestones, or other issues. Our doctors and staff are happy to provide insight and offer resources.

School, Sports, & Camp Physicals

Many activities require a physical exam to ensure that your child is healthy and able to participate. Contact us and bring in your paperwork. If your child has been seen for a well-child exam in the time range indicated by the activity, we will complete your forms and have them in the office for you to pick up. If your child requires a new examination, call 817-453-7770 to make an appointment.  We provide $25.00 Sports Physicals in our office to established patients.

Behavioral and School Concerns

Some behaviors seem to defy explanation and ways of dealing with them feel like they are out of reach. Our pediatricians are experts in what to expect and how to deal with difficult behaviors. Some diagnoses, such as ADHD, require forms to be completed by the parent and the school, while some require outside assessments. We also have a Licensed Professional Counselor through Childrens’ Health in the office on Mondays to help with any mental health needs. Ask us at your child’s appointment, or contact us with your questions.

Medical Advice

Advice is available during office hours by telephone or MyChart. Call or send a MyChart message for routine medical questions about your child or when you don’t feel an appointment is needed. After hours and on weekends, there is a no-charge nurse advice line

MyChart App

Our patient families are encouraged to use MyChart, an online medical records system used by many major health care systems. MyChart provides a comprehensive digital dashboard of your child’s health care needs, allowing you view medical records and test results, request medication refills,  and even submit a question for your doctor, all from the convenience of your personal computer or mobile device. MyChart can be accessed in English and Spanish, both online and via the free smartphone app.

Please contact our office to be sent an email with access and instructions to make an account.

Call 817-453-7770 or contact us to make an appointment or to receive access to MyChart today.
